Dario Marianelli Just Keeps Getting Better!

I am so impressed with Marianelli's latest musical creation in Atonement. I know only a couple of years ago, critics picked apart his score to Pride and Prejudice - a soundtrack I, by the way, love. Yet Atonement is fleshed out so much more fully, although that may be due to its heavier subject material. Regardless, Marianelli is proving himself as a talented composer. Good for him! Mesmerizing

This music is absolutely enchanting. I love the juxtaposition of musical elements; for example the sounds of the typewriter along with the music of the piano. Highly recommended for those who appreciate the beauty of a well composed film score. March 18, 2008
