All of the CDs from the PTG label are fakes (including this one) and are mastered from cheap vinyl and not the original source master tapes! March 23, 2008

rating: 5 QuoteFlawless transition from disco to slick, catchy 80s groovesQuote
One of the better 80s albums by a disco diva, Thelma Houston (of "Don't Leave Me This Way" fame), shouts, wails, and cries her way through a stellar set of old-school grooves that would have made then-fledgling Janet Jackson jealous. And why not? Some tracks (including the superb "You Used To Hold Me So Tight") were produced by the now-legendary Harris-Lewis partnership that would make so many dozens of hits for Miss Jackson. Definitely an album worth paying the steep price for. February 12, 2008

I was so happy when I heard this album (back in her MCA Records days) was being released. The import price is a little steep, but well worth it. I used to jam off of the 12" Single of "I'd Rather Spend The Bad Times With You Than Spend The Good Times With Someone New" on my public radio show back in the day. Several choice cuts here include "You Used To Hold Me So Tight," and "(I Guess) It Must Be Love." There's even an (older) bonus track called "Standing In The Light." Alot of these cuts were early Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. Excellent R&B. And, yes... some 12" Single "bonus cuts" would have made this CD complete. January 20, 2008

THIS IS MY FAVORITE THELMA HOUSTON ALBUM FROM 1984." FANTASY AND HEARTBREAK " LOVE THIS SONG,PLUS "YOU USED TO HOLD ME SO TIGHT" AND " I'D RATHER SPEND THE BAD TIMES WITH YOU THAN THE GOOD TIMES WITH SOMEONE NEW ", ALL THREE SONGS PRODUCED BY JIMMY JAM AND TERRY LEWIS. THIS IS A GREAT CD!!!!!!!!!!!!! December 28, 2007
