About Prong - Power of the Damager
There is a price to pay to being the first at anything. Prong has been forging their own brutal route since their inception only to see their sound borrowed, perverted or outright stolen. Power of the Damager is not so much a return to form as it is an aggressive Call to Arms. A battle cry in which Prong takes on all corners and reclaims their rightful seat at the head of the table. The latest incarnation of Prong seems to have given new life to Tommy Victor, who rips into every track with the ferocity of a man who has nothing left to prove. Words drip with an intensity conjured from the depths of the soul, when wisdom and life experience are of little comfort in a world of indifference and suffering. Guitars viciously slice like a razor’s edge carving through your insides. There is a sense of focus and intensity on Power of the Damager solidifying who is the Student and who is the Master. Monte Pittman (bass) and Aaron Rossi (drums) rise to the occasion and deliver the most punishing rhythm section to ever record under the Prong moniker. Prong has returned to doing what they do best, and yet somehow it feels like something brand new all over again. Album Description

Best Prong Since Beg To Differ
Every song on here rages and the production is crystal clear. HOpefully this CD will take them to the top of the metal heap. But as Tommy Victor says, "no justice in life" May 27, 2008
Best Prong Record Ever!!!
If you took some of the esoteric subject matter of Scorpio Rising, the social subject matter of Prove You Wrong, gave it the riffage of Cleansing and the guitar tone of Rude Awakening, you would have a rough idea of what this record sounds like - only better. These songs make you want to stomp out and hurt something with a maniacal evil smile on your face while doing it. It's nice to see that after all these years Prong hasn't lost its' touch. If you ever were a fan or were ever curious about this record, GET IT!!! May 22, 2008
Pioneers of industrial metal still criminally underrated
"Power Of The Damager" is a great Prong CD, full of the energy of "Cleansing", but rife with hostility and hooks. Victor wants to beat you senseless, but do it to a groove. This is industrial without the computers and metal enough to satisfy any Meshuggahh or Fear Factory fan. Prong were pioneers of what one could call the future of heavy music, and sadly even broke up for a time because weenie bands from the alt rock world were hogging up the airwaves. Give this outfit the credit it has earned and deserves. Get the whole catalogue, with maybe the exception of "Prove You Wrong", and a shrug to "Rude Awakening", which was anticlimatic as a follow up to "Cleansing". April 24, 2008
