Duran Duran - Red Carpet Massacre

The Duran Duran album I was always hoping they would record.

I always had very mixed feelings about Duran Duran. They were the ultimate 80's band, and I HATE 80's music. But if you look back, they've done some rather classy songs along the way during their long career. Admittedly, for me, they've been few and far between, but I do think that the following songs deserve some respect: Planet Earth, Save A Prayer, Notorious, Skin Trade, I Don't Want Your Love, All She Wants Is, Ordinary World, Come Undone, Someone Else Not Me, Pop Trash. And pretty much every song off Red Carpet Massacre. I don't care that much for the title track, but the majority of the other songs are of a very high standard, my favorites being: The Timbaland productions Night Runner, Skin Divers, and Tempted, as well as Falling Down (their best ballad since Ordinary World), Box O' Honey and She's Too Much (seemingly about Simon Le Bon's daughter). Be sure to pick this one up!

I honestly feel this is one of duran durans top 3 albums. Right up there with Rio & The Wedding Album..... Astronaut was excellent as well. All 12 tracks on this disc are solid. Tons of harmony,solid beats & typical strong lyrics & melody from Le Bon. Wish there was a little more guitar on the disc although Falling Down has some nice guitar work on it. As far as pop albums go this is a top notch effort. Very worth yof 4 stars. My favorite tracks are The Valley, Tempted, Shes too much, & Dirty Great Monster. August 1, 2008

You need your ears washing out!

You 'so called Duran Duran fans' need your ears washing out! This is a good album! Some DD fans siad the same about Pop Trash and Medazzaland, and they are good albums. I like this a lot better than the wedding Album. Give it a chance. 5 stars easy! July 29, 2008

DD2 Still Rocks

It's not their best album in my opinion but it is DURAN DURAN and I love them and the album is still good July 12, 2008
