Average user review:| The most entertaining rock band on stage. |
While I'll forever favor the Bon Scott era, I dig AC/DC in all forms. They stick to a formula that works for me and millions of others. And they've been doing it for over thirty years. This DVD collection is, so far, the best documentation of their progression from rowdy club circuit band to one of the most successful music acts of the 20th century. Make sure you don't settle for the two-disc version as there's some real gems found on the generous "bonus" disc of the Limited Edition.
Audio/video quality is as good as can be expected from some of the older material. Personally, I think the defects of this vintage material only adds to the charm. Concert videos are too "perfect" and glossy these days. I like it raw (and it works perfectly with the spirit of AC/DC's music).
AC/DC brings the energy, making this is one of my favorite pick-me-up music DVD packages. Highly recommended. October 18, 2008

But Rock and roll is supposed to be annoying you might say! Well here it's not so much rock and roll as something not dissimilar to Jar Jar Binks. Audio wise it may have it's merit. I'm not much of a fan, but I can see why people might like this. But watching AC/ DC, particularly Angus Young, on stage was incredibly grating. Maybe somebody should make a live AC/ DC DVD called "The Angus edit" removing all the Angus Young camera moments. May 21, 2008
