rating: 5 Quotegreat album of hits by The Four AcesQuote
20 Greatest Hits by The Four Aces really shows off their remarkable talent and the music is absolutely wonderful! I always loved The Four Aces and it's CDs like this one that keep their memory alive and well. The quality of the sound is very good and the artwork is very nicely done, too.

"Love Is a Many Splendored Thing" starts off the CD with The Four Aces performing one of their greatest hits ever. Sure, I believe it's a cover of this song and they didn't do it first; but their rendition is so good that I consider it to be THE definitive rendition of "Love Is a Many Splendored Thing." They harmonize well and the music that goes with their vocals fits in perfectly. Their tenor voices sound wonderful. "Mister Sandman" charms me every time I hear it; The Four Aces easily ace this tune with panache--of course, we know it really wasn't so easy but their natural talents made them do this very, very well. The tempo is just right and the brass is used to great advantage, too. "Chapel In the Moonlight" is a very pretty melody and The Four Aces do this really well; I really like "Chapel In the Moonlight" and I think that you will, too. There's also "Stranger In Paradise;" "Stranger In Paradise" showcases the beautiful voices of The Four Aces and that's quite all right by me!

"Believe In Love" is another sweet tune; and listen for "Heart And Soul." "Heart And Soul" is an older tune that is truly timeless and I love every minute of it! Great job, Four Aces! "You Are My Way Of Life" has The Four Aces singing at their very best; "You Are My Way Of Life" is a love ballad that touches me whenever I hear it and that's grand. "You Are My Way Of Life" is easily a major highlight of this album.

"Three Coins In the Fountain," which received an Oscar for best song from a motion picture in March, 1955, shines like silver and gold when The Four Aces pour their hearts out to make this all their own. The Four Aces deliver this flawlessly and that impresses me very much. "Tell Me Why" has yet another very pretty melody that is rather catchy as well; The Four Aces really take advantage of this opportunity to show off their talents and it all holds its own very well. I love it! "Garden In the Rain" has The Four Aces squarely front and center--and that's right where they belong!

"And I Love You So" really shines when The Four Aces croon this to perfection--and beyond! The musical arrangement is very tender, too. "Now I Need You" gets another fine arrangement as The Four Aces perform this with heart and soul; and the CD ends strong with The Four Aces performing "Tonight Must Last Forever." "Tonight Must Last Forever" features some really great harmonizing and it leaves you wanting more from The Four Aces.

Obviously, this is a must-have for fans of The Four Aces; and it makes a great introductory CD for newcomers because it has so many of their classic hits. I highly recommend this album for people who enjoy classic pop vocals as well.
