I can't believe how many people are sleeping, not only on this album but on KRS. People now of days have to compare anything he puts out to his early material. I'll pick most of his albums over this anyday, but this is still worth giving props to. He covers topcis that need to be covered, and the production on here is nothing to complain about. If you have any doubts on getting this, need I remind you - it's an album by Blast Master KRS ONE?

And nobody DOES Hip Hop better than KRS-O.N.E. The man can "battle", "brag" and "educate" all on the same song. Every song is....wait for it...DIFFERENT, original and does not repeat the same line over and over. Over 20 years in the game and ALL of the fake rappers have gone by the wayside.
"Our Soldiers" should become the national anthem for bring our troops home.
Every "alleged" Hip Hop radio station should be bumping this CD.
The REAL Hip Hop is over here!!!

KRS-One is a living legend of hip hop. He could quite possibly be the greatest hip hop artist ever. In 2008, he put out his 18th studio album (counting the six he created with the group Boogie Down Productions), "Adventures In Emceein". Lyrics basically do not need to be reviewed on a KRS-One album; he always comes correct. KRS-One always has great lyrics on just about every song he has ever put out, but his past few outings have had some lackluster production. Well, the same can be said about this release. Don't get me wrong, a good majority of the songs are fine, but there are others that sound like they should be playing in the club, not with KRS rapping over them. That being said, there is some filler on this album that takes away from the overall sound. KRS brings in a few hip hop legends such as Chuck D, Nas, Rakim, and MC Lyte on the album. The fist three mentioned only have speaking parts and do not help out on an actual song. MC Lyte does the chorus on the song "Money", and does a great job. The other guests include Pee Doe, Keith Stewart, and Just Blaze. KRS-One, although being over 40 years old now, still has a knack for putting out music that is a breath of fresh air for modern hip hop. Mr. Kris Parker, please don't ever change.

again and again, KRS brings the real raw "rah rah" hip hop. If you want to dance and sing, this is not for you. KRS is for the true hip hop community that remains with the original art form. It's to listen to, rap along with, head nod to the heavy beats...that's it!
