Before I begin...let me just say that if you're STILL waiting to get this in the mail from Amazon, or/and were told you wouldn't get it until after 12/25, I feel your pain...and did something about it (ordered it directly from TNA and got the cd in less than a week, a couple of weeks ago). Having listened to this album from start to finish, I agree with one of the other reviews in that this album is not a wrestling theme classic or even up there with the last TNA release, what we have here are some of the latest themes for the latest additions to the TNA roster (including updated theme music for some of the TNA vets). My favs were the entrance themes for L.A.X.(has that Latino hip hop appeal about it), Kurt Angle (very upbeat, what you'd expect for the Olympic Gold Medalist...though not enough to erase memories of the 'You Suck' era back in WWE...lol), Jay Lethal(if Black Machismo's hip hop reworking of Pomp & Circumstance hasn't pissed of the Macho Man Randy Savage already, he's probably getting a laugh), Pacman Jones (very nice...should've been longer), 'Cowboy' James Storm (nice country/rock feel to it...sorry bout yer d@mn luck,boweh...LOL!), Team 3D(we're talkin'bout hardcore legends...the tite speaks for itself), and Christopher Daniels (nice combination of rock and gothic...an eerie, Omen-like feel to it...however, I was hoping they'd give us the original entrance theme for the Fallen Angel, this newer rendition reflects where they're taking his character these days, a bit darker than when he debuted). The other tracks are okay, lotsa rock...but typical and predictable... but what messed it up for me was the fact that many of the songs are a little over 2 minutes long, and unlike the last release, there're no preuludes to the themes. Like I said, the album is NOT a classic, but it's not a total letdown either...yet, to a degree I'm going to say amen to another post and add that this'll be a keeper for you if you're a die hard TNA fan at heart(as am I)...otherwise, you may wanna enjoy the themes on TNA IMPACT or on TNA dvd releases.
December 17, 2007I found myself only liking a few songs from this album, VKM, LAX, James Storm. I would only buy this album if your a diehard TNA and or Wrestling fan, this album was a flop waste of money
November 28, 2007These are the songs you hear on "TNA iMPACT!" each week. I especially like Kurt Angle's theme, which was written and perfromed by John Cena's cousin. Other songs include: "Cowboy" James Storm, "Pacman" Jones, VKM, Sonjay Dutt, Team 3D (Dudley Boys), Tomko, Christopher Daniels, Judas Mesias, LAX, Petey Williams, MCM, Black Reign (GoldDust), "Wildcat" Chris Harris, "Black Machismo," Kaz, Lance Hoyt, and the official "iMPACT!" theme!
The songs with the most replay value are Angle's theme, Pacman's theme, Team 3D's theme, and the official "iMPACT!" theme.
