rating: 4 Techno? -- Heck No!!!
OK, OK -- I have bought pretty much every Moby album in the past 10 years with mixed listening satisfaction which results in now having become used to NOT being disappointed when he releases something that doesn't resonate with me. But on this recording he has returned to some seriously listenable and danceable electronic music. On songs like "Everyday its 1989" and "Alice" and "Disco Lies" Moby's bringing back some of the coolest voices and sounds off of his top-selling 1999 release "Play". If you like the sounds of very well-crafted house sounds and some great ambient music to chill with -- this CD will grow on you with each time you put it on rotation on your player. << GO >> May 10, 2008

rating: 1 I took one for the team on this one
What up, playaz?

Boy, did I ever take one for the team on this one. The only reason I bought this dorky CD was cuz my quadmates wanted it. So I said sure, dudes, why not, I'll download it on iTunes.

What a horrid mistake that turned out to be.

Simply put, this is a complete retread from Moby's earlier work, no different than if it was 1999 or something. I mean, this bald little geek puts a few hot chicks on his album cover, and all the sudden he thinks he's Playboy Joe or whatnot. Well, I'm here to dispel that way of thinking, cuz this little geek is far from a playa. The only phat beats come from the "Everyday is 1989" tune, and even those sound like they come from a Kajagoogoo album.

Hey, I'm not here to simply rip on Moby, since I know he's had a pretty phat career. But still, I wonder why nerds like this guy continue to make CDs, when real playaz like Limp Bizkit, Korn and Soundgarden get throwed by da wayside.

I sure took a bath on this one, folks. May 6, 2008

rating: 3 Sounds alittle like a re-tread for Moby
With the exception of a few tracks this new album doesnt have the fresh feel of something new. It certainly lacks the rawness of Hotel and 18. This is a more dancefloor sound and even then seems familiar. May 5, 2008

rating: 5 Amazing.
This Moby cd is the most amazing yet! You can really feel the music the way Moby wants it to be felt. There are very few words, but the words and phrases used are just right for each song. Moby features a couple different artists for this, with fantastic voices. I absolutely love it and play it every chance I get! May 4, 2008

rating: 3 One cheating track
Yes, it's it true! Track 11 -DEGENERATES - sounds 95% like one of the tracks from the HOTEL album.

Moby's latest music installment is overall, nothing great, nothing spectacular, just typical mobyish. May 4, 2008
