About Wire in the Blood - The Complete Fourth Season

Dr. Tony Hill (Robson Green) is a clinical psychiatrist whose extraordinary understanding of the criminal mind has been an invaluable asset to the police. Working alongside Bradfield’s new detective inspector, Alex Fielding (Simone Lahbib), Tony profiles and tracks down vicious killers in Northern England.

Disc 1: Time to Murder and Create
Tony is convinced that a paroled rapist, convicted years ago as a result of his forensic profile, is the man behind a recent string of disappearances.

Disc 2: Torment
Police are baffled when a prostitute’s murder matches a series of killings for which Derek Tyler has already been caught and jailed. While Alex struggles for a lead on the streets, Tony thinks Tyler holds the key.

Disc 3: Hole in the Heart
A businessman and his accountant die in a horrible fire – apparently victims of deliberate arson. Were they murdered by jealous partners?

Disc 4: Wounded Surgeon
Tony’s first case with the police comes back to haunt him when Jason Eglee, convicted of murder on Tony’s evidence, comes up for parole.

User Reviews

rating: 5 I love this series!
Robson Green is a gem. Besides inventing some weird murders, this series has created a really interestingly torn character in Dr. Tony Hill. He is drawn like a moth to flame to these creepy murders even though it is obvious that the police dept. is ambivalent about using his services and even though the work takes an enormous psychic toll on him. I heartily recommend the entire series. Liked the first three with the original female detective. March 29, 2008

rating: 4 Simone Lahbib is great as D.I. Alex Fielding
I really enjoyed this show. It is just captivating. I couldn't believe there were only 4 episodes. I can't wait for Wire in the Blood - Season Five comes out. March 28, 2008

rating: 5 Can't get enough
I waited and waited for the new season to become available. It does not disappoint. The way Robson Green's character processes information and comes to his conclusions is fascinating. Edge of the seat stuff. March 23, 2008

rating: 5 wire in the blood 4
Despite losing its female lead, this series maintains its high level of excellence. Dense, intricate plotting keeps the viewer on tenterhooks for the entirety of each two-hour episode, and male lead Robson Green's sometimes-endearing, sometimes-frustrating eccentricities allow the new female lead to develop her character in counterpoint to him. This series is the best of all the serial-killer TV dramas; each of the four episodes is like watching an individual Silence of the Lambs-caliber film. March 22, 2008

rating: 5 Simply a great series
The fourth season of "Wire in the Blood" does not disappoint.Despite a change in the second leading character, the stories are intriguing, suspenseful and the acting is first-rate.The relationship between the forensic psychologist and the police investigator is both believable and, of course, integral to the story-line.
