rating: 5 THEY'RE BACK.......
Who doesn't need a good laugh once in awhile while they're bopping around the house or ratting their hair -- The B-52s always deliver with catchy and silly lyrics against that definitive beat that they have always produced. Do we really need to be serious all the time and look for some deep meaning when we indulge in our guilty pleasures -- Oh Hell no -- cut loose and walk thru the doors of the "Funplex" and let them tootsies move with "Pump" and "Keep this Party Going". The deepest youre going to lyrically get on this CD is "Deviant Ingredient" and if you can relate -- well lets not even go there. Drop some change and grab this CD for the traditional party we always can count on from the B-52s. May 10, 2008

Great CD to listen to during a long drive - but hard not to dance to so be sure to keep your hands on the steering wheel! May 8, 2008

I am utterly repulsed by those who bash this band or dismiss them as a novelty act or deem them TOO OLD to bring the party rock as gloriously as they do. I'm 37 and have adored this band even through the hard times (the terrible passing of co-founder Ricky Wilson) and I have to say I was ASTOUNDED by the power, beauty, sardonic humor, and, yes, SEXINESS of "Funplex". There is not a stinker in the bunch, track-wise, and how rare is THAT to achieve these days? Cindy and Kate TRIUMPH vocally on "Juliet of the Spirits", especially. And THANK GOD FOR FRED! He's as hilarious and biting and endearing as ever. Strickland's guitar licks rule and I DARE you to listen to this masterpiece from one of the most under-appreciated bands on the planet and NOT dance your fool head and fat butt off. Can't wait to hear it all over again. And again. And again. Yes, "Funplex" is a repeat offender. The B's better keep going forever. Athens, GA., baby! May 7, 2008
