Of course they don't sound the same of the old inflames like Cayman ext but that's what great bands do they evolve their sounds and create new music and new sounds in every new cd.
July 19, 2008of course it doesn't sound like the other stuff and screw that guy that said they stop playing death metal a looooong time ago "have you heard come clarity" you can't honeslty say some songs aren't melodic death metal right.I heard this band has had the stupid nu metal thing going on but i haven't heard it and as for this one THERE'S NO NU METAL" it just sounds like proggresive metal, alternative metal, metalcore and probably still some melodic death metal, well that's what it says.In this one there's not that much screaming and the great powerful growling just your usual singing.Trust me if he prefers singing than he CAN sing but i prefer the screams.Don't get it if you like it fast and brutal not a big fan of in flames but i like some of their previous stuff and as for this not as good,3.7. the real rating cause i can still enjoy it i guess.OH MY GOD,I HEARD THE SONG "TAKE THIS LIFE" IS IN THAT STUPID GAME "GUITAR HERO"I HATE THAT GAME IT KILLS MANY HEAVY SONGS!
July 16, 2008This is what it sounds like when our music is downgraded into nothing but hooks. And the hooks here are very bad. If you want to call them hooks. Follow the path of Soilwork into a watered down nation. Certain people have a nack for writing mainstream music and it sounds well put together. InFlames does NOT have this talent. This is very bad. It sounds like mainstream metal with someone halfway screaming. Take away the screaming and add someone singing on every song and it's the same as everything else. No originality here. It seems it was not even attempted here. C'mon guys stop this nonsense and get it together. STOP THE CONFORMITY METAL.
July 14, 2008 | | Super Melodic Death Album. | |
Certainly, best ýn flames album since 1997. All songs are smelling melody and quality. I am listening always to this album and just I don't bore.
If you like IF, Never regret, buy it.
June 28, 2008The first 7 songs or so on the CD are pretty awesome, but everything after those ones aren't quite as good in my opinion (too much guitar and drums, and not enough keyboard or the music is too slow... to me, that's boring).
Personally, I like all the CD's from Clayman to Sense of Purpose, but I don't like the ones before Clayman... so hopefully that'll give everyone a baseline as to how this CD compares to all their music.
Overall, it's still a great CD, but you'll likely more often find yourself putting in one of their earlier CD's instead of this one after you "get it out of your system".
