Love this CD. It is music from my teenage years and just listening to it takes me back. Tina Turner is one fantastic musican. Has so much energy it comes out in their music. Would recommend this CD in a heartbeat.
October 17, 2008EVRYBODY KNOWS THAT JAMES BROWN WAS KNOWN AS THE HARDEST WORKING MAN IN SHOW BUSINESS. TINA TURNER COULD GIVE HIM A GOOD RUN FOR HIS MONEY (EVEN THO' SHE'S A WOMAN- JUST ASK MICK JAGGER, HE STOLE HER ACT!). THIS IS A CD OF A LIVE PERFORMANCE OF THE IKE AND TINA TURNER REVUE SOMETIME IN THE 1970'S. INTERESTINGLY ENOUGH, ALTHOUGH THE CD HAS LINER NOTES, IT DOES NOT SAY WHERE OR WHEN THIS PERFORMANCE WAS RECORDED, JUST HAS A LOT OF GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT IKE AND TINA. THIS IS A GOOD PERFORMANCE, BUT THE RECORDING QUALITY IS NOT THE GREATEST, SO IT LOSES A STAR FOR THAT. BUT THE SONG SELECTIONS ARE GREAT AND IT IS A VERY GOOD CD NEVERTHELESS.
