About **** Live In Phoenix
Multi-platinum group Fall Out Boy present their first ever LIVE concertDVD "**** Live in Phoenix". Taped last June at the Cricket Pavilion in Phoenix for the 2007 Honda Civic Tour, the DVD features over one hour of LIVE music from all three Fall Out Boy albums including the hits, "Saturday," "Sugar We're Going Down," "Dance, Dance," "This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race" and "Me & You." Also featured on the DVD are all eight Fall Out Boy music videos in chronological order, the making of "Me & You"- filmed in Uganda - and plenty of behind-the-scenes footage and out-takes from last summer's Honda Civic Tour.

Their songs are sharp, witty, crafty and with pop anthems to the T. This Live DVD Proves it. Live In Phoenix is a heck of a show for any fan. It was filmed on the band's 2007 Phoenix, Arizona stop of the Honda Civic Tour. Fall Out Boy seems to still have the connections to fans that they had in the beginning and adding more. They will probably be around for a long time.

Musically the performance is good. The theatrics however are not, they are too over the top and obviously planned to show off for the DVD in an egotistical way like I said. It's nice that the DVD includes music videos but it is not ALL of their videos, only videos from the last two albums (Cork Tree and Infinity on High) - none from the Take This To My Grave album. The behind the scenes stuff really really sucks though. Especially compared to their behind the scenes antics on their previous two DVDs, which were great.
I would highly recommend their previous two DVDs My Heart Will Always Be the B-Side to My Tongue and Clandestine Industries Presents: Release the Bats because I feel that those are more accurate and a much better representation of them. April 23, 2008
