This music is very relaxing and enjoyable. It is the music you listen to when you are in a mellow mood and just want to thaw out. If you are looking for something more fast paced, try her DVD - Night in the Pyramids, also a great find. Beautiful voice, a talented artist. April 18, 2008

Don't buy this CD expecting it to have the liveliness of the "Live at the Pyramids" DVD video. "Beladi" is a fully studio-produced CD that's been somewhat-cynically labeled and marketed to sell to fans of the live "Pyramids" concert.
This CD is OK, but nothing more than OK - get the concert DVD instead. After listening to the "Beladi" CD a few times, I donated it to our local library instead of keeping it for my collection. April 16, 2008
