About The Osmonds - The Osmonds/Homemade

2008 release featuring these two classic Osmonds albums on one disc, available for the first time on CD. The Osmonds may have existed in one form or another before and after their massive '70s success but this is the first time in over 30 years that their musical legacy can be experienced in full. The Osmonds and Homegrown were both released in 1971 and both hit the American Top 20. This CD features hits like 'One Bad Apple', 'Double Lovin'', 'Sweet And Innocent' and many more. Original LP artwork is complimented by in-depth liner notes and pictures of many European single sleeves. 7Ts. Album Description

Another great collection of Osmond Brother brilliance. I actually got the first record in the 70's but it is worn out. Donny Osmond was great with the group and I guess they were just realising that he was very cute and sold records. Another fine effort from the brothers, but I may be bias since that is all I listen to. Love them forever. July 25, 2008

These are the first two Osmond albums from 1971. The first contains the #1 smash "one bad apple" and a lot of other styles of music. Country pop like "Think" and "Most of all" also their signature theme "He ain't heavy, he's my brother". HOMEMADE has the rare hit "Double lovin" and a few other good songs. It's my least favorite of all the Osmond Bros. albums, but still worth having in your collection. These albums were produced by the famous producer RICK HALL. I prefer the forthcoming Osmond material over these two beginners albums. When the Osmonds wrote and were more involved in the material it was more satisfying to me. Of course, if you're a fan you'll buy anything they did and that's what I'm going to do!! It's wonderful to have all these songs in CD form after all the waiting...The CD liner notes are OK. I was hoping for more in depth info into the songs but each CD set is a rehash essay of the previous one. Nothing that most fans didn't already know. July 5, 2008

WOW! My 2 favorite old Osmond LP's on the same CD. Somebody thinks like me. Not sure which I like better. I think it's a tie. Finally here on CD, the old Osmonds LP's "Osmonds" 1971, and "Homemade" 1971. My 2 favorite old Donny LP's are on the same CD too. :-). Check it out with a search on Amazon. Can it get any better! I am gleaming! The song "Flirtin" which is on this CD, should of been a single on it's own. It ended up the B side (flip side) of another song.I think it was the B side of "Sweet and Innocent"...but don't quote me on that! There were other single releases that the B side (flip side) of that single release should of been a single on their own like "Keep On My Side". That was a great song but never appeared on any LP. Another song on this CD is "Sho Would Be Nice", it was so good that it appeared on one of D&M's LP's. The Osmonds wrote a lot of their songs and below is the track list with a listing of which songs the Osmonds wrote. The sound quality is very good on this CD. You wont be disappointed.

1) (Would It Make You) Think
2) One Bad Apple
3) Catch Me Baby (written by A. Osmond)
4) Lonesome They Call Me, Lonesome I Am
5) Motown Special-My World Is Empty without you, I'm Gonna Make you Love Me, I Can't Get Next To You, Babe
6) Sweet And Innocent
7) He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother
8) Find'em, Fool'em And Forget'em
9) Most Of All
10)Flirtin
11)The Honey Bee Song
12)Carrie (written by W. , M. Osmond)
13)Double Lovin'
14)Chilly Winds
15)Shuckin' And Jivin'
16)The Promised Land
17)If You're Gonna Leave Me ( written by M. , A. Osmond)
