The cd is great, putting two of my favorite Osmonds albums together. It is great to be able to listen as I drive home from work. It takes me back to when I was a carefree teenager. August 13, 2008

I'm very happy to have these recordings on Cd now. I liked every song on these albums that were not put on any of the greatest hits compilations. Great to have all my favorite old music!!! July 21, 2008

Of all the new Osmond releases on CD this one was my first choice for purchase. So, I guess you could say they are my favorites. Although, I'm waiting for "Brainstorm" (1976) and "steppin out" (1979), they are probably my favorites!!!
Love me for a reason is an awesome album. The title track is their alltime best single and "Peace", "I can't get next to you" "Fever" & "The girl I love" are soulful and hit-worthy. The brothers rock-out on this album, I love the cover picture as well. Wayne cracks me up on "Sun, Sun, Sun" singing lead vocals with his raspy deep voice. I enjoy this more now than back when I first heard the album. The music and arrangements on this album are better than anything they did before, in my opinion.
THE PROUD ONE (or I'm still gonna need you) is also a good album, but for other reasons than LOVE ME... It has a lot of soulful, lovely ballads. "Someone to go home to" and "The last day is coming" are two excellent songs. The title track was suprisingly a #1 A/C song in U.S in 1975. It's a good song, but I didn't think it was a #1. The album sold poorly in the U.S in '75, but It's not because of the material. Believe me, It's a really good album with memorable songs. Don't expect a "Hold her tight" or "Crazy Horses", because it's not that kind of album. It's amazing that a group can excel at so many kinds of music. The Osmonds are the best family musical act of all time. They amaze me more and more as I get older...They never recieved the respect they deserved as musicians from the critics (and public). Maybe because they are decent, worthwhile people; easy targets for jealous and misguided folks. July 5, 2008

When I got this double album today, I put it on and couldn't believe that I instantly remembered most of the words from the 70's when I wore the grooves down on the old vinyls! I had totally forgot how great the Osmonds were because nowadays they stick with the same ol' same ol' and don't venture out much in their old age. Guess it takes too much effort. Anyone who was or is a fan should buy this cd. It showcases their immense talent and brings back some fantastic memories!! LOVE IT!!! I especially like "Love me for a Reason" As a sidebar, the album "I'm Still gonna Need You" was released as "The Proud One" in the states, in case you don't remember that album title. Anyway, the Osmonds got a rinky dink deal from the music industry in the states by getting labeled "bubblegum" but I will argue to my dying day they are not! I will be buying the rest of the double cd series they have out. Thanks be to the UK for doing this! June 7, 2008
