The Donny Osmond Album (1971) was Donny's first solo LP. Followed by his 2nd LP "To You With Love, Donny" (1971). Finally, they're here on one CD. Nicely transferred to CD, I must say. About 5 years ago I had all my old Osmond LP's & Cassette tapes transferred to CD (over 50 of them). I never thought they'd be released on CD. I love surprises like this. The quality of these official releases are great. Only slightly better then mine though. The track list is listed below. I've added which Osmonds wrote the songs. Only one song on this CD was written by the Osmonds. Yes, I do have a list of the LP's and track names and which songs the Osmonds wrote. Hey, I was Osmondized in the 70's what do you expect me to do with my spare time :-) . Song # 17,"Do You Want Me" was originally title "Do You Want Me" back in 1971. It was later changed to "We Can Make It Together" (on Donny's LP "My Best To You" 1972) or "Do You Want Me? (We Can Make It Together). I'm assuming it was changed because the Osmonds wrote another different song title "Do You Want Me?" that's on Donny's "Alone Together" 1973 LP. These are two different songs and both were written by the Osmonds. Having the same name could be a little confusing. I guess! I like both songs. The title on this CD is "Do You Want Me". I added the "We Can Make It Together" to help you know which song is on this CD.

As a die hard Osmond fan it's about time they released their classic albums on CD. There was not a bad song on any of their albums so the greatest hits didn't give us all the favorites. Donny was my favorite June 8, 2008

It's taken 37 years but Donny Osmond's first two solo albums are now on CD. And what a good job 7ts Records have made of it, too. Both albums sound wonderful, even better than some of the Osmonds titles. They sound really fresh and are as crisp and clear as you could hope for.

The albums themselves are very dated, obviously, but still contain some of Donny's biggest hits in 'Go Away Little Girl' and 'Sweet And Innocent' along with other fan faves like 'Flirtin' and 'Do You Want Me'. Not even 14 years old when these were recorded, Donny is at his squeakiest vocally here, but for diehard fans this CD is a must have and the whole thing has been put together brilliantly.
